Nepal, Patagonia, New Zealand, and the Great Lakes Region are some of my favorite places. I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, hiking, eating different food, swimming, and learning about various cultures. I have a teenage son with whom I enjoy spending time, discussing literature, and going on Boy Scout outings. Recently, I became a cat mom to three ridiculously adorable cats--two black and one tabby--and I am at a loss to understand how I survived five decades without a cat. Though I live in New Jersey, I am from New York. I grew up in Queens and spent many summers on the beaches of the North Fork in Long Island. I love to read, but struggle with sitting still, so I mostly read while walking, sometimes oblivious to the cars rushing by. As a kid, I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder and it is because of her I decided to be a writer. I identify as a genderqueer lesbian and use the pronouns she/her.
I am an OWL (Old Wise Lesbian).
